Our Crafty Journey
We're Ange and Caitlin, two Kiwis with a love for all things nerdy, who want to share their joy with others!
We started Flightless Nerd in the second lockdown of 2020, making masks to keep our nerdy fellows safe. We branched out to our true goal of D&D accessories and pop culture crafts just in time for Auckland Armageddon only 2 months later in October. With a super successful first convention under our belts, we gained the momentum and confidence to start adding new products and building Flightless Nerd into what it is now.
Ange
She/Her
Ange has always been a theatre kid and a fantasy nerd, so D&D was always in her future. Falling in love with both the game and the math rocks to go with it, she quickly became a dice gremlin. Eventually she began making her own dice in the hopes that it would stop her from needing to keep buying them (it did not work).
Nevertheless, Ange has fallen in love with the art of dicemaking, and cannot wait to see what else she can do..
She also flat out refuses to take responsibility for any character deaths caused by the dice she makes.
Ange is assisted most days by her familiar Doug, whether she wants his help or not.

Caitlin
She/Her
Caitlin is a huge theatre nerd, as well as just a regular nerd, whose love for fantasy started in her childhood. She grew up on a diet of showtunes, Pokémon and Lord of the Rings, so it’s only natural that she fell into D&D when introduced to the game a few years ago.
Caitlin loves to collect both qualifications and hobbies, and has accumulated a signficant collection of certificates, dance shoes and craft supplies over the years. She has recently fallen in love with digital art and using her Cricut to make a range of goodies that speak to her nerdy soul.
She also loves the odd cheeky cosplay with Ange (or whoever else she can convince to dress up with her).
